Well, we are parked in the left lane Westbound on I-40 in Arizona at Mile Marker 98, Freeway closed from MM71 to MM129. About 6 inches of snow and still coming down hard. Very pretty out though

Well, it was total survival mode in Arizona. 14 hours sitting in the truck in the middleof the freeway. They opened the freeway after 4 1/2 hours and we moved 1 mile. Just enough for my 14 hour clock to start and then a bunch more crashes and they closed the freeway again. I heard that two hazmat trucks, one carrying gunpowder, had crashed and there were fatalities involved. Still not sure if that is true. We woke up in the morning and I started to go around to the few 4 wheelers around us to make sure they were doing OK and bringing coffee. Met two very cool guys from Northern Ireland who had headed out on a day trip to the Grand Canyon from Las Vegas. Made some friends there and they already posted about us on their blog. Finally got moving and into San Bernardino only 15 hours late with a FedEx load. Truck now at Freightliner in Fontana and we are in the hotel. Time to go play.
Jarhed1964 Thanks this. -
I used to live about a mile away from the FL in Fontucky. Good on ya for checking on the 4 wheelers. Did the same thing when stuck on 64 in a VA blizzard a couple years back.
