Congrats to you! I know how exciting it is to finally get a permit. It gets even better when you get your CDL! :biggrin_25520: I have finished my orientation at JBS and passed everything! Woo Hoo! Getting ready to fly out tomorrow to meet my trainer, and get the "trainin on" A little nervous though! One thing you really need to pay attention to while your doing your schooling to get your CDL make sure that they train you in the 53ft trailers, being able to make the wide turns, and not curb tires. Backing is another biggie! I was only trained in a 27ft trailer. We mostly just practiced skills to get past the DMV test. But I made it through anyway! Good luck on your new ADVENTURE!

So happy for you, I can't wait for my turn. What's with this lifting 90#'s, what do they use, ball, concrete bag, barbells?, lol US trucking school is supposed to be pretty good at teaching everything you need to know and pass rates are pretty good. I am so relieved to get all of that stuff out of my brain, sat at the dmv from 1:45 to just after 5pm... omg... long long day! good luck on your training too, let me know how it goes.

Good luck to both of you gals! The 90lb. weight is placed in a milk crate I believe and then you lift that.

That's right Mile Hi, you have have to carry the milk crate with the 90 lbs for 20ft out and 20 ft back I did it pretty easy. They monitor your heart rate while your doing it. I was all freaked out about the eargo test before I got here, but went to the gym and tried to simulate the test. Wasn't as hard as I thought it was gonna be. They were pretty good about showing you the correct way to lift the weights. There were several different weight lifting exersizes. I'm a good size lady and I did it pretty easy. Thank you for the good wishes! :yes2557:

STMD, The use the regular round weights that they put in a milk crate. Did you get all your endorsements that same day? Is that why you had the long day? I did my testing for my endorsements a couple at a time so as not to overload the brain cells. In fact, I hope that I can still remember everything I tested on! LOL The only endorsement I didn't get was passenger, cause I don't want to deal with people! :biggrin_25526:
