Something interesting happened today... We had a trailer that the ABS light had came on. Took it to the shop in Fontana and had them look at it. They worked on it and it was still on but they told me to drive it around the block to see if it would go off... I did and it didn't. Took it back in. A few minutes later it was out and he told me it was a wire connection. Well now the light doesn't come on at all. Not even as the required test at start up. And the light on the dash doesn't come on either.... Didn't notice that till I was getting ready to drop it at a shippers.
I have always thought it was other drivers that disabled the ABS lights on trailers, maybe but I see now that the mechanics do too..... I'll write it up tomorrow and send it into OTRM and see if they can get it back into the shop in Fontana to get fixed correctly... -

Sigh... drama at home - makes me want to stay out on the road so I don't have to face it!! Guess there are good points to being out here
Wedge Thanks this. -
Well we are going in a loop... LOL!
We went from MD to UT to CA... Then CA to AZ... Picked up our dedicated stuff back out to OH and PA ... Our back haul is again in MD to CA and the next load out is to PA... I think we are going in circles!! LOL! I don't mind though... Each run is 2500+ it's just the turn around time that can bite us... We are running on our 70's right now, so we are staying busy... This is a good thing -
Well our circle is broken... Got a call and have to run back home again for Momma stuff...
On our way I got a taste of seat cushion!! Snow, ice, high winds and light load.. I stopped when it was dark, because of visibility... Got light thought, OK... I can do this... Was doing OK... 25-30 mph... Then a gust of wind broke the trailer loose... I saying out loud "don't touch the breaks!!"..We slipped and slided... Got straight and I pulled off the next exit... WHEW!! Sun is further up, and Gary has time back on his clock... Gladly handing him the reins!!
