Truck Broke into

Been happening for at least the last 6 months at the Modesto terminal.

 

That sucks bro Modesto and Stockton are among the worst cities in America if u believe it. Is the truck a company truck or yours? The yard is a rental or company if so they should reimburse you for your loss.

 

Oh snap I just read Watkins n Sheppard on top of the thread yep ur yard is on Yosemite the worst street in Modesto next to carpenter and 9th st. Dont know where u guys are in Stockton but dang...my yard locations are TOP SECRET out in the cuts....

 

I hate to hear that. It's probably some crackhead and it'll end up at a local pawnshop. It'll take 30 days to hit the shelves. I would watch Craigslist too.

By all rights, whoever owns the vehicle's insurance company should pay for the stuff. If your stuff was in my vehicle it would be covered. But we know trucking companies ain't gonna do the right thing or they would of done told you.

What I would do while your mind is still fresh is make a list of everything, gather receipts if you can and write down dollar amounts. Then next year, if nothing else you can write it off on your taxes under theft and losses.

I had my house broke into in FL in 1985 and lost all my electronics. It does suck.

 

That sucks...I just took 9 days off and took everything, I would be upset if it was stolen, with me...Did the TM tell you how they broke in?...Window?...Door?...

 

Man thats awful! Sorry to hear these things happening...

But I guess if nothing else a good reminder to others to take their valuables with them when they leave the truck for extended periods of time...

I take most of my electronics with me, but I think I'll be a bit more thorough from now on.

 

Honestly, watkins should invest in cameras at the modesto terminal. I know they cant install a gate because of the railroad right at the entrance BUT cameras would be a good investment I think.

If anybody has been to the modesto terminal and seen a red toyota with no wheels on it.....yea, that was my car. I dont park there no more because my car's wheels have been stolen TWICE now!

The only thing that has happen to my truck so far was sombody cut the powercord that connects to the trailer(I guess they got $$ for the copper in the wires). If watkins had cameras up at the modesto terminal it would save them money in the long run.

 

Yeah put up a gate ? they will steal it too. I'm coming back but parking in Hughson this time my car and truck when on home time. That place SUCKS ( getting there and parking there) A gate won't help They will steal the cameras too
