    Losttrucker, that is what I heard.....it wouldn't hurt to try because you cannot legally move that truck once you are out of hours, but if you are being escorted then you are safe.

    they told us today that its federal law & that wont work! city cops cant tell u to move,if u move and have an accident u will lose all away around the board!

    It's not cops telling you to move, it's cops escorting you to a safe place. The way I understand, if they are escorting you then you will not get in any trouble.

    They told me when I asked,"what do I do if I run out of hrs. & they wont let me sit there?" I was told if I move the truck and something happends I could loose my cdl and maybe even jail time, we are regulated by the federal government and a city cop can not over ride federal regulations.. maybe a state trooper or a dot official can escort you but good luck getting them out there on a trespassing call!

    I drove my Usx truck 20 min over once called said I had nO safe placed to park about 15 min from home about to do a 34 they said be safe call us when the trucks parked never heard any more from it
