Hello fellow Swifties. I'm pretty new to Swift, have been out on my own for a little over a month now. I've got a load going to Mira Loma, doesn't deliver until Wednesday. But I have some friends in LA that I want to visit and was wondering which terminal would be best to park my truck and trailer at for a couple of days. They both look pretty small, and very busy. Thanks for your help.

Stay at Fontana. It's just 3 or 4 miles down the road, has a nicer driver lounge, and is definitely more 4-wheeler friendly if your friends are going to come get you. I've had no problems dropping my trailer there and bobtailing to the walmart either.
Mira Loma is a multi-carrier terminal and is just a huge busy mess. I avoid the place unless I'm t-calling or picking up specifically from there and aren't staying longer than 30 minutes. -
You expect your truck to be there when you get back? Parts might be.
10 minutes after you leave, Lot Lizzards are using your C.B. for an Office. At dawn the frame might still be there.

Thanks, Domandred. That's what I was thinking too. It just looks so tight on Google maps, and it's frustrating to see that nice wide open lot next to it. Oh well.
-
Yeah, that nice wide open lot used to be part of the Fontana yard. I quit parking there after they closed it off.

Both suck. Stop out of town at a truck stop. Fontana is tight parking with a trailer and the only redeeming value to Mira Loma is the excellent truck wash by two guys who are proud to do outstanding work. Every Swift terminal should hope to have a truck wash as good.

Wouldn't park at either place, even the the truck stops around there are horrid.
Being a company driver, guess I wouldn't matter, but id do mira loma, IF you can back into a spot over by the service bays. -
both sucks, but fontana has wi-fi, clean shower ( the cleanest of the whole terminal network ), parking may be tight but it's a piece of cake to get it in the slot but be sure to arrive early because it gets packed pretty quick, the wal mart close to there has not so much selection for food but there's a food 4 less at walking distance from wal mart

I will take fontana any day of the week over Mira Loma. ALso the one lunch wagon that comes in 3 times a day is pretty good, and the guy that comes in at night with his barbecue smoker has some good food
-
Oh yea forgot about the bbq guy. Last time I was there he was cooking up ribs, and I had no cash
