well i'm lucky enough to have other trucks that can haul the backhoe and our bucket loader which are used daily in the landscaping season. guess i'm on my own then. Looks like i'm just going to sell it. I have trucks that are much older than this and I've had zero problems with getting those repaired. I guess it's just something about the L10
L10 smokes and blows oil

well I still have this truck and it has begun to smoke more. it makes a small popping sound and the smoke smells like fuel and is white. coolant has also begun to leak down onto the lower radiator hose now. still nothing in the oil besides oil

Sounds like injectors Its no to bad of a job just buy the shop manual you can pull them and have them tested at a cummins shop
mike9497 Thanks this. -
would be easy if 90% of the engine wasn't inside the cab area. of course im being told all different things. i just need an honest mechanic to look at it -
U could do a pull back test, undo exhaust manifold bolts so u can pull the exhaust manifold back a bit then start engine and watch to see which port is blowing smoke, also when u see the port at fault check to see if it's oil residue or fuel, if fuel/white smoke replace/repair injector
mike9497 Thanks this.
