    For friends, click on the persons name in the left corner of their post, takes you to their profile, then on right side of the page is the Friends section, lower left of the friends box is befriend #####, click on that and it will send them a friend request from you.

    Photos: go to User CP near top left of any page, then on the left side of page under Edit Profile Picture, use option 2 to upload your saved photos from your computer.
