WHY would you go and work for them when you can go to their customer (carrier) and get the same job? All you are doing is making then rich off of your sweat!

Ok. I understand you. You're slow. If it isn't spelled out for you in plain detailed English you simply cannot understand it.
I said "it wouldn't be my first choice"......he is a new driver. They can pretty much have a job for him when he gets here. So he isn't wasting his time/money having to look for one. If he chooses,he can then start looking for something that suits him better but in the meantime he can make some money.
DO.......YOU.......UNDERSTAND........NOW? -

Again, why would you want a people pimp making it off your sweat? The village idiot can get a job in this industry, there's proof in countless trucks every day. Dealing with staffing agencies is like dealing with freight brokers. WHY would you when you don't have to.
ps>If you haven't figured out who owns YASCI, it's a major trucking company now so who do you think they're sending you to first! -
Hey, guys, appreciate all the help. We are all here to help one another, right? I have a pretty good head on my shoulders, but what I really need are some basics. What do I have to do or say to get someone to not pass me over because I am new. I just want to get to work and learn my trade and get on the road. Is the issue of insurance the reason why companies don't like training new drivers . . . or what?? Someone told me that some companies are bringing in people from other countries to fill the jobs. Why? I have spoken to lots of newbies who are itching to get hired so why bring other in to take the jobs?? No offense intended to anyone, by the way.

Two companies come to mind in your area, both are in Greater Van. CPX (Coastal Pacific Xpress) and Challenger Motor Freight. CPX runs reefers north/south.

MGFG.....ONLY shows how little he understands and knows about the trucking industry.
Your Advantage is owned by Lori Van opstal and Lori is married to an owner of Verspeeten.
Lori had been in business for well over a decade before the marriage happened.
Verspeenten cartage does not own Your advantage staffing.
To the OP:
Keep looking you'll get hired. Trans freight Mcnamara has a yard in Delta BC. They are always looking for guys to run Cali out of that yard.
