    Howdy everyone,

Been reading this thread for a few days and decided to take the plunge into FFE driving. Called up Brent and filed out the application. If everything goes well, I'll be in the March 5th class. Trying to swing a plane ticket though, 1800 miles on a greyhound is not appealing in the least.

I have to thank you all for the great questions and answers. I'm sure I'll have a few before I leave for the academy.

And for those already there...good luck!!!

-Don't blame you for not wanting to take the bus.Doubt FFE will furnish you a plane ticket but they may deduct part of that ticket for whatever the bus costs. So why do u wanna travel 1800 miles to go to school? Is'nt there any schools closer?

@ Pattyj, because its free and I'll have a job afterward. I don't have the $4900 to go to a school here in Sacramento and I don't want to finance it and "hope" for a job. So, after doing a lot of reading, I chose to go with FFE.

Yep, it is the quickest and cheapest way to get rollin'
Plus the school is great, and its so fast paced the time flys by.

As for Greyhound.....still sucks! I would rather walk than ride that again.
