Oh. That does sound fun. Everything with this load has been interstate until tomorrow and Arkansas. Two lane after two lane with an escort. Fun!

What a day!
I left the TS at 430am this morning. I go over to the terminal, drop my MT Flat and Grab a MT Step Deck.
Then I head over to the other side of Houston and pull into the Shipper at 0600. And i pull up to the closed gate and ......it OPENED!
But then i still had to wait till 7 till the crew came in to load me oh well, i wanted to make sure i wasnt late, turned out i didnt have a problem finding a place to drop my MT, finding my new MT, no traffic, and no problem finding the shipper (thanks to google earth!) so i had to sit for and hour.
Then when the crew shows up....OMG i thought i was in a Kung ## movie! It was awesome.normaly when you go to a customer to load some big peice that needs a crane they use a ladder or a mobile staircase to get to the top to hook the straps from the overhead crane....well not these guys! Nope they Jackie Chan'ed them! I mean they ran up to it and just ran up the side of these things lol
When the supervisor got there, he runs between my trailer and the inside dock (concrete on both sides of me about 3 feet from the trailer) and jumps up and lands with 1 foot on the concrete and one on my trailer then just hops onto the concrete it was crazy lol. Normally factorys/warehouses arent maned by 100 asian guys, was interesting, would have been nice if they spoke or understood english better though.....
But when i asked about tarps they DID understand that....No u no need no tahp.
so here it is: 24,000lbs
Loaded them, 4 chains, 4 binders and out the door at 8am. And I headed to San Antonio, TX to the TA to pass the load off on another driver (he had hours, he wanted miles, and i cant beleive he actully told me this but he WANTED to go to CAsomething must be wrong with this young man!
So after swaping trailers, chains, binders (he gave me some pretty crappy binders and chains.....not so happy about that) But we did talk for like 30 min he's been here about 2 years, has the same dispatcher i have and he loves it here, always good to hear.
Then i headed across the big road to wash my truck and trailer. And i learned something today, that "driver" that told me about how to get a truck wash.....ya i already know he's isnt smart but wow. He told me to tell Blue Beacon we are Lone Star Abaline, TX. Well thats what i did last time and they washed my truck half ###. Well this time i just said Lone Star and she gets an Attitude like which one? I said Fort Worth/Abiline is the same lone star we just moved the HQ....she says PICK ONE! ....ok Fort Worth....
BINGO, thats the Golden Word right there! My truck looks BRAND FREAKIN NEW (not like it didnt last time it got washed) but this time the put this stuff on all the chrome, and all this stuff, and this time since i was MT i let them do the trailer (which we are suposed to do) and OMG this truck looks amazing! BUT it did take 2 HOURS to get in and out of the Blue Beacon!
Then i came back to the TA, I did my laundry, my paper work. Then I did my tires all nice n' shiny, did the windows and mirrors, checked and toped off all the fluids. And then I ate.
Met a few cool drivers while doing laundry too.
Now i THINK i have found FOX on the TV so I'm pretty sure im gonna get to SEE the race tomorrow!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Yahoooo Daytona 500!
And i even got told to be in Laredo, TX first thing monday morning so i know im going to 1 of 2 places in NC (well 99% sure anyway) so good miles to start the week!
I only drove 254 miles today, BUT that means i drove 3,157 miles this week, a new record for since i've been here!
$1,199.66 Gross just on miles alone, not counting tarping, and other accessorial pay this week!

with my winch bar, on the back end its a square box for snap binders so i just put the hook on it and pushed it threw the hole as far as i could , the reached in the other side with my arm and grabbed the hook.
