6 months in and I think they have been very good to me.
They run Dry and Liquid food grade tankers and I believe there is about 80-90 power units in the fleet. pay is 24% of the load and I average about .41 per mile (actual miles driven). I was new to dry tankers but now I have no problem. They put you through a 1 week training/ride along where you will unload 9 trailers. The trainer does not do as much as I would like but you get the Idea of what is going on before the week is done.
The eqipment is well maintained, all freightliners I believe. The shop is very good at doing repairs and I have never been down for more than a day because of repairs. I park a the shop during my hometime, almost always home for weekends, reset is always at home.
The loads are steady and they keep me going, there was a lull around christmas and new years (Bakeries were shut down for annual maintenance) but I took it as a nice vacation. The dispatch is very responsive as well.
Overall a very good company, the only thing that could make it better is if they bought me a new KW (hey a guy can dream right? )

what are you curious about?

Just wondering about their operating area... hiring area.... benefits... customers... you know, stuff like that.
thanks -
Kenny, you must be seeing a different side of Buesing that I'm not seeing. The money is good, when you're working. It seems that every six months there is a slow down for a month or two so you loose whatever financial ground you made the previous six months. The fleet is well maintained and they are buying new tanks and cabs. You got to ride with a trianer for a week?! Try three days while he was instructing two other new drivers. I had to do my first unplug over the phone at 3am with my dispatcher because the trainer didn't get around to it. As to the health benefits I think they suck, plain and simple. Hang around for another six months. You will notice that there is a regular driver turn over. Other than that it's a good company.

Buesing is the worst company I've had the displeasure of working for. They lie, they cheat, and they steal. Simple. They have a 99% turnover rate of drivers, and the pay is pathetic, and terrible. They tell you you can make 50K a year. After a years gross at 20K...WELL I think their recruiter needs a calculator. Work for buesing, and starve.

I agree with Kennydawg. Buessing was a great place to be. In my 27 years of trucking, it was the absolute best pure driving job I have had. I am the Safety Director for another company now, but still have my CDL, and if I would ever go back out, it would be with Buessing. Sure, there's some learning to do, but they train you, and its gets to be easy. I loved my time there.
