I was supposed to start at Prime tomorrow but property issues will keep me grounded for at least 3 months.
Since I know this is what I want to do, what can prepare a uneducated person for this career. I have a mechanical background but if I read it I am slow in learning. I just need to touch it to learn.
Any info would be great. I am going to be based out of Delaware and have their CDL booklet already.
Study material.

I hope you keep up on that job. 3 months may be risky and they might just go to another student for your job. Good luck

Thanks Bull, I found the test last night.
Gas, yes, I am keeping the recruiter abreast of what is going on. 3 months is probably the max, I am hoping to still hit the April class.bullhaulerswife Thanks this. -
Just a little advice here. Don't ever trust a recruiter. He's not there to help you. Be sure you keep in contact with the company.
-
thank you all for the direction.
Do not worry about me and recruiters. I have a good 15 years dealing with people who promise things.
One thing business taught me. If something is legit, than no one has an issue with putting it writing. I know sometimes you have to take a chance. You do get a good idea of what you are dealing with when you ask that question. -
The dot commercial drivers handbook is fine for studying for your test. But you already found the best resource to study for becoming a driver and it's right here. There is a wealth of information you will find here that you won't be taught in school.

This is true. You'll learn a ton from experienced drivers here!! You can find information on almost anything your looking for! Best of luck to you!
