We are going through some times (its winter still) right now but the freight I have hung out for is decent. This is a bad month to start out but should be good in a couple of weeks.

The number of loads have gone up, but the rates are still WAY too cheap
-
January was like a normal January (not like last year) but February killed for my van guys. We saw better than $2/mile loaded with one of my drivers and a decent hub rate (including 1000 dh he could have avoided) and what impressed me most was his average length of haul was over 500 miles.
And getting calls on FL produce season starting next week. That should change up capacity in a lot of markets.
Flatbed rates have been flat. But couple markets near me have been shipping more lumber, mulch, rock, ect for pre-stock and that has helped rates a little.SHC Thanks this. -
What months are the best and what ones in your opinions have been the worst?

And fuel prices keep going up.
Lol.
What else is new. Same ole trucker troubles.
