Good point.
Since this isn't a white collar job, think we can go with dress nice but be prepared to get dirty.

So what did you wear and did you get the job?
-
Given my location, I'm thinking a parka, red flannel shirt, and insulated jeans. But hell, that's standard issue here. ;^)
Going to orientation on the 12. Haven't actually met anyone at the company yet, just been on the phone/email with the recruiter for the last couple of weeks. -
You can always try this route:

They so should have handed him a torch and let him spark a few welds.

That might have also hurt??

Red hot spark of metal lands on your unit, oh yeah, that'll bring a tear to the eye.
Unless, perhaps, he was the best welder ever. They might have missed an golden opportunity there. -
have somewhat unkept appearance who cares-sygma don't. real casual, they want bodies for the truck to move. overalls and beard=fine.
-
Like others have posted, this is for a driving job and you better be prepared to do a road test and pre trip just in case. Wearing a suit for a truck driving job interview is ridiculous. You would look pretty foolish if you were dressed better then the person doing the interview.

I usually go to Walmart buy some regular kaki pants and a polo shirt. 20 bucks. If I got to get dirty who cares my clothes were cheap. Just look squared away that's just my motto being a Marine. Never been "we'll call you back" after an interview, always get a job offer. Clean cut, shave, tuck your shirt goes along way.
