Hello Hogboy: Merry Christmas to you too. I will never forget my time at Foodliner and I will never tell another driver that Foodliner is a good place to work. You are right, some drivers are happy there, but I sure did not meet any of them. Without fail, the drivers I met were all unhappy but the recession or their poor driving record was making them stay put. Im glad you are having a pleasant experience with them, you are the exception. Offering 1500 to get someone to sign on with the company sounds like an act of desperation. Smart drivers will check sites like this before going to work for a company, I just want to make sure they have the tool they need to make an informed decision. They may love it at Foodliner, but I would bet money against that. I have a few buds still stuck there and that is because they let Iowa push them to fulfil ridiculious tight dispatch expectations. By trying to fulfill the demands of Iowa dispatch, drivers speed and have accidents. When that happens, you aint going anyplace cause most companies wont take you. So anyway, I think I have made my point. All the best to you and yours. Just keep in mind that there are Better companies out here to work for. I am very thankful I have found one, you might too if you looked around some.![]()

Well buddy, read these pages. You are certaintly the exception.
Safe runnin.
Joe -
Exception? No, not really. Since my post two years ago my terminal hasn't lost a single driver. It would appear that my experience is rather common. Pay is still in the same area but now since I have moved close to the foodliner terminal I get to sleep in my own bed several nights a week plus the weekend. I was about 75 miles away so spent many nights sleeping in the truck at the terminal.
-
hey driverjoe! it may seem that you are the exception and not MO family man! But seriously, every company has drivers with good experiences and bad experiences. Foodliner and Quest Liner's low turnover rates will speak for themselves. Nobody's perfect but i think they do a better job than most similar companies out there.
-
Wow, don't know anything about Foodliner per se, but I thought that was just part of trucking. I always figured I was not the first driver to have to go to a tight spot, and if others could get their truck in there, then by God, I could do it too! (Not that I didn't cuss the totally clueless architects that designed the place!)
Just saying... -
You said it tracyq144! Every company i have been with has always had some deliveries where it seems there was no way i truck should be there. I enjoy the challenge of getting into tight spots
. But ya gotta wonder sometimes pulling into these places, what the h#ll were these people thinking when they built it? a song comes to mind when i read driverjoe's comments, "gimme 40 acres and i'll turn this rig around"!

Hey buddy, this guy HOGBOY dosent give a darn about what happened to you. He works for FOODLINER Corporate remember.
-
Well well a singing HOGBOY. Now that is funny. Hell youngin Id challenge you to a rodeo any day, unlike you, I drive truck full time and have been for quite a few years.
-
Well we are just gettin the word out. This may not do any good but at least it lets them know when you treat your drivers like cattle there can be some negative consequences. When I first started posting my experience about Foodliner on this site there werent any, now read on, page after page. A smart driver will access the net to do his/her homework before obligating themselves to a company. They can read through these post and make an informed decision weather they should go with a particular company or not. There are good companies out there, in my humble opinion Foodliner is not one of them. They are a company to stay away from. I always like to look at the turnover rate of a company first and then talk to a few of their drivers. Like here you get my opinion and some others which are similiar then you get those like our corporate buddy HOGBOY. Its us to them to believe what they want, but at least the word has been posted.
