I am proudly smoke free for over 1 year and never plan on going back! The money I saved was very motivating along with the ability to walk and run without hacking a lung. And funny enough, I don't get sick as often as I once did. I wish I had never smoked in the first place, but consider it a lesson learned. Plus it's nice to not smell like smoke all the time. I never realized how bad it stinks until after I quit. I do not judge those that do, it's your life, your money. Do with it what you will, just please don't blow it in my face. I will say, do yourself a favor and quit. You won't regret it. Just my $.02

I started smoking in 1987 (20 years old)
I quit smoking when in 2007 (40 years old)

I quit when I was told I had lung cancer (true story)
I was blessed and they found it early, I lost my entire left lung, but I'm in better shape now then I have been in my entire life, (except for being overweight..:))
I have been cancer free for 5 years !!!
My Oncologist told me that the likely hood of it coming back is .0001 %
Like I said I was VERY VERY blessed, not only by the grace of God but a great team of doctors as well !!!!
It is VERY Hard to quit,
    Just don't quit quitting ...
If I can quit ANYONE can..

Other things to consider when you quit, you'll be amazed at the ammount of money you actually spend on cigs, your food well taste 100% better, and your smell things much better ...

When I drive I chew gum,
I never have to worry about my breath smelling .....:)

    Be Safe !!!

I'm not a trucker yet, but gonna start Cdl school in a week. I'm a 2 pack a day smoker, and I am gonna try to quit before I start school. I can't imagine what a confined space like a cab would smell like with my habit, and I know I would smoke more, because when they are around and I can smoke, I chainsmoke. Besides the health concerns, just the cost is killing me. Hopefully whoever I train with is a non smoker, cause if I am stuck with a smoking trainer, I know I will backslide. My official quit day is Monday.

Ok so I smoke.....on occasion.. man smokes an ocassional cigar what's your point?????

Are you just making an observation of smokers as you drive down the interstate or what....seriously just asking??????

I'm all about anyone who has smoked and quit!!!! but at the same time do you not undertand it????

I'm not trying to be rude or anything I'm just wondering why you are making this observation..........

I've quit for as long as 10 years and picked it back up ..so don't think that because you've quit that your never ever gonna do it again...but then on the same hand ...sure you may not..and good for you!!!

Just strollin' by and had to give my 2 cents.....LOL

I dont smoke, and I dont care if you do............Just please stopping throwing your butts all over the place. Its awful to go walking through the parking lots and see all of your butts all over the place, especially after a smoker has sat in the same spot for 10 hours throwing all their butts in one spot....Show some respect...as I respect your right to smoke, respect others that dont and put your butts where they belong.

I totally get that for pete's sake!!!!!!!

Some people just don't get it... and I undertand but you can't possilble judge someone on what other people do.......

Non smoker here for many years now.
Our company has smoking and non smoking trucks which is hard to do with day and night drivers in the same truck.
