rolling coal where can i buy that bumper you have? and how much?

here is the one.i just bought. havnt done a thing yet. i need to put 7cab lights across the roof because i have a friend who is a custom truck fabricator who is going to hand make a visor for me. i dont like most of whats on the market. theyre either the huge miami visor or they stick too far forward.

i absolutely hate that the turn signals dont stay on. i have.to figure.out a way to fix that.

fuel mileage isnt great but its a cat and.it pulls good. im hoping dumping the cat and running the overhead brings it up some.

oh, and it needs a seriouse date with the buffing wheel

Chrome Country Smyrna, TN - it's part of Rush Peterbilt. I think it is exit 62 Waldron Rd.. I didn't shop around at all, I wanted a bumper and quickly after the plastic one was all screwed up. Still ended up waiting 2 weeks before it came in. They don't sell too many stainless 22" bumpers for T600's so it had to be made to order, out on the west coast. Make sure when you order it you specify what holes you want cut in it because it will come with none, except for the 4 in the front to bolt it on, if you don't. I forgot to get license plate mounting holes and had some fun popping those in there.

The reason my foglights are missing, truck came factory equipped with them, deer knocked one off so it was gone.. ..I'm too cheap to order a new one so unless I luck upon one in a salvage yard it won't ever have fog lights again lol. Stainless bumper was $1,100 they wanted about $2,000 for chrome plated. I figured chrome would be cheaper but apparently with the bigger bumpers chrome plating is a pain and labor intensive. You could probably get one way cheaper than that if you shopped and wasn't in a hurry to have it asap. Also make sure you order brand new stainless steel bolts and use some loctite to secure it. It will come with no mounting hardware and your bolts from the old bumper will be too short..

As far as the turn signal lights go. Some T600's they stay on and some they don't. I think they came from the factory both ways. Mine have never been on. When I switched out to LED turns and installed resistors I noticed my harness does have 3 wires in it going to the turn lamp. But only 2 were hooked up. All you have to do is hook up all 3 wires to get the turn signals to stay on.. ..check where the main harness plugs together into the turn signal harness.. ..spread the wire loom apart on the main harness and see if there are 3 wires in there. Then look at your lamp. My orginal lamp only had two wires coming from it. The new LED lamps had 3.. I just left it as it was I dont like those lights on all the time..

Agreed on visors I see for T6's something doesn't look right with most of them. Post pics when you get the custom visor. I'd like to see what it looks like also see what it would take $ for him to make me one, maybe I'll hit the lottery lol, but I want to see yours first..

You can get the led corners and wire them to stay on and flash,
Or you can do what I did at first. Go to your local autoparts and get a three cable light socket. It will pop right in the stock light. Wire it up and you'll have parking/running lights and flash. You'll spend about $12 bucks.

I like the bumper shown @ the link above. Gonna order 1 as soon as I "fix" the exhaust.

Thats how I wired my leds, used the original wires for turn, and ran a short jumper from the harness(for the small marker on the side of the bumper) to light the park light.

Could not see the photos for what ever reason, but for your frame look up KBS coatings. If you can clean off a majority of the rust, their system will take care of the rest. Good stuff that you can brush on, but as long as the humidity is NOT 120%, you will not see any brush marks. It will look sprayed.

I'll try to get some pics up later, in a rush right now to get to get to a shipper.. Or you can click on my username and go check out my gallery maybe. Don't know why those pic links died like that. Thanks for the tip on chasis. Now would probably be a good time to do that before humidity gets here..
