I find that the employee's opinion of any employer has a direct reflection to the employer's opinion of the employee. I don't know a person willing to deal with all the stress of running a business that doesn't at some level believe they are offering a positive employment opportunity. That said... not everyone is doing as well as they think in their company management.
Merrit built this country into the world dominant business leader, the entitlement mentality of many employees today is quickly tearing us down. Next time you feel a whine building from within, think of what it would be like in the society your attitude is enhancing. Earn your pay, and thank God you have a job.
just my two cents!
Life is like a mirror.

Honesty also had a lot to do with building this country. If trucking company's paid their employee's for the work that they do, a lot of the things posted on this site wouldn't be here. There are two sides to every story, and what you say about the mentality in today's society of entitlement is very true. Many of the crybaby's that do their one post and run probably cant hold a job down in any industry in America.
The trucking company's have decided to base their business plan on not retaining driver's.By using greed as a factor, they have decided that it more profitable to run as many driver's per year through they're trucks as they can and not care one bit about retaining employee's.By not paying for detention,as the driver was told he would be when hired.By not paying layover pay when a driver has to sit for two or three days,as the driver was told he would be when hired.By not paying the driver the true mileage he drives(House hold goods,Short,Practical,Zip code to zip code),the company has schemed a way to rip off 7-10% of the true money owed the driver.
Not all company's practice these new buisness model's(Thank God),but almost all of the big and medium size one's do.There is no other way that these company's have a 100-125% yearly turnover and still make big profits. You may say well thats the free market, and yes thats true. They're following the practice of the Gov,by stealing everything from anyone you can,and there will be no reprocussions what soever.RICO Thanks this. -
ummm ... isn't this the "Report a BAD Trucking Company Here" thread space? thank you!

How about y'all put your money where your mouth is. What made America what it once was was not unions nor any other bunch of professional whiners. What built the country was someone seeing a better way to do something, putting their all into it and doing it.
How about you just get your own rig, your own authority and building your own #### company. Show the way. Be the example. You think you know better? Prove it.Licensed to kill and Ezrider_48501 Thank this. -
Really? If it weren't for unions there would be no 8-hr workday or 5 day work week.......not to mention benefits............

Not sure what bubble you live in, but I haven't worked less than a 10 hour day since I was 16, and enjoyed working 22-24 hours a day many times after I got out of California.
Some of us enjoy working for a living rather than whining for someone else to support us.DrtyDiesel Thanks this. -
Yes, REALLY!!!!
Try coming up with an idea, developing it, finding the financing, working your butt off 24/7, building a business, building an industry... putting your heart and soul plus everything you own into it
Then just when you can ease off a bit, the govt, the unions and a bunch of snotty "educated" twits start calling you a thief, a criminal, a leech and do their best to destroy what you've built.
Think you'd enjoy that?Licensed to kill Thanks this. -
I never mentioned unions. On the contrary, I was advocating earning your pay, doing your job, and not whining. Peace, like Freedom, is earned. We must work for it.
Licensed to kill Thanks this. -
So you think it's fair to work 15-16 hrs a day 7 days a week with little or no breaks?
Yes, REALLY.
