Dumb question here but I just got my truck noticed that it has sirius radio but its not activated its that somethin we go about ourselves to get activated or do we talk to someone to get it turned on? Also if its the first is there some kind of discount offered? 15 bucks a month seems a bit steep but I also don't want to listen to static all the time![]()

No discount. All on you to activate and pay.
Well worth it in entertainment.
I must disclose that not only am I a subscriber, I am also a Sirius stockholder. -
In my opionion, If you are new at the industry and dont have any knowledge about the industry i would look away and run as a company driver for atleast one year just to see if this is something you want to do! That way you can see what kind of miles you will get and most important one do they know your name or do they know your driver number?

I am going back to my second trainer the only reason I got of his truck was because his inverter was broke and I was required to have a cpap (which is a scam in my book). So I got with an other trainer. He never should be a trainer, after I drove for 400mls he called the terminal manager and told him he wanted me of the truck. After he was told he was a trainee ones he apologized to me only to kick me of the truck 2 day's later because I was unsafe he said? Turns out I farted in my sleep and he found that "disgusting" and kicked me of his truck. so now I am going back to me other trainer with whom I get on really well. Some people just should not train. And yes it is about the money for them. Cheap labor. He is now trying to talk one of his former students in to teaming with him and offering him 12ct per mile go figure

I could not agree more with this sentiment my third trainer sucks and I am going back to my second trainer who had to let me go for reasons out of his control at the time -

As a company driver would i be able to take my truck home or would i have to leave it at a lot?
-
If you live in the same locale as a terminal (at least it works like this in Springfield MO) you need to leave the tractor at the terminal. Otherwise, yeah, if you have a place that is secure and you can safely park your tractor without PO'ing your neighbors, take it home.
