I'm laughing.....Only cause I've been there. I swear I have replaced almost everything and then something breaks or falls off!

At some point you have to presume you got it all. Ya know??

..anyways, best of luck. Keep your MVR clean and time will work for you.
Speeding tickets (while bad) eventually go away once and for all.

DUI/DWI will always haunt you - especially into Canada even 10+yrs later.

I own my own independent insurance agency in Texas and licensed in Kentucky and Georgia and can help with any questions you may have or help find you a better price. Been doing it for 13 years and have helped a lot of people.

I am actually thinking about getting in the trucking business myself by buying a truck, hiring a driver, and lease in with a company to haul frac sand in Texas. One of the companies I insure brought it up to me and been doing a lot of research about it. Looks like you can make some money at it if it is done right.

One suggestion that I have is carry as much liability insurance as you can. Even though the state mandates 500k or above (depending on what state it is) and the feds require 750k, these limits may not be enough to cover the loss. In major claims, 1 million in liabilty is not enough. There are carriers that will insure 2 million in liability on the commercial auto policy but in the cae where they only offer 1 million, carry an excess liability policy for the additional million in coverage.

The worst thing that can happen is that your liability insurance runs out before all the parties are taken care of. After those limits expire, then your assets become the target.

    Always remember this:

You can never overinsure your assets
    BUT
    you can always underinsure them

I'm new to this forum and am looking into starting my own trucking buisness. Is insurance cheaper in New Mexico vs Florida?

"Never?" How can that be, given that premiums increase based on the amount covered under terms of the policy? At some point, you;re paying for stuff you don't need.
