I was wondering what kinds of hobbies you all have while on the road. I know there is downtime, just wondering what you do with yours.

I suspect the Internet and my blog will keep me occupied, which, of course includes Netflix.

The only cheap way to do Netflix if you don't have a rooted phone with unlimited is to pay for the wifi plans at the truckstop. They are usually $5 a day or if you park at the same chain quite a bit, $20-25 a month. A day off watching Netflix will burn up 10 gig before you know it.
As far as non-video internet, I use Verizon. Being an OTR driver you really only have two choices Verizon or ATT. Speed varies on location and 3 or 4g.

The key is to download whatever media content you need while at home. Then use phone, TS internet for basic browsing. Another thing that will save a #### load of data is no-script for firefox. It's a must if you're on a limited plan like 5 or 10 gb's a month.

As of right now, I have over 300gb's of unwatched movies, tv shows, documentary's, and so on, on an external hard drive.

    FloTheWaitress and Eaton18 Thank this.

I used to build plastic models. I might start doing them again, I certainly have enough of them in my storage unit.

For now, it's just the internet, PC games or online poker.
