Carrier bearing on the driveshaft??? A carrier is a differential, a drive line bearing is the steady bearing or U-Joints which are small roller bearings.

Center bearing/carrier bearing is what the driveshaft has between tranny and rearend. Its mounted to underside of truck chassis (with driveshaft in it) and will cause bucking like hes experiencing.

I'm a noob, but my truck bucks when i try and start it in 8th instead of 3rd (empty). Im sure you would have figured that out, but are you sure the selector is in the right place, being that its a new truck and all? Might be a different position then ur used to.

Sounds like weak or broken springs in clutch hub of a ceramic clutch. Could also be high/heat spots on pressure plate and or flywheel. Either way, replace clutch assy. and resurface flywheel.
