I wouldn't touch a Detroit EGR motor myself, and thats why I went away from Detroit in 2005. Shame as they had a #### good motor in the DDEC IV IIRC.
As far as price goes, all depends on the service history of the rig, and any major maintenance it has had recently.
Was it a fleet truck or O/O? Guessing a company truck with specs like that.
I would never personally buy an old company truck. 99% of guys just dont give a crap about the rig and drive it accordingly. That doesn't even count the company that does 20-30k mile PM's etc.

Thanks for the info. The truck was a lease from Ryder very clean but no in frame has been done, yet! I have also been looking at an 07 9400I,500000 mi. cummins ISX 435 and10 speed with 355 rears nice truck but it has a 224" wheelbase and I am not sure if that will work for flat bed. As I said I am getting close to decision time and this will be my first truck puchase so I appreciate the input.

The Ryder truck has had nothing done unless it broke. They are on breakdown maintenance, the way they do is if its running, let it go. When they are to be sold they are supposed to meet certain criteria such as 50% brakes, no leaks, no cracked glass, 50% rubber but usually use bddt 3rd time caps on drives, upholstery must be good with all things that came on the truck in working order, paint no more than two shades. But it all depends on where the UTC, (used truck center) is and who is accepting them to the UTC.

Not bad of a price, just make sure you know the mpg on that engine also I always go the safe side with engine & trans warranty. Try National Truck Protection. Peace of mind.

Does National have a mileage cut off for the engine and tranny protection warranty?
