    take as long as you like...you just won't get any canada runs...there are a few that can't go for other reasons....it just affects your mileage bonus...

    oh alright. kinda tight on money thats why i ask. the TWIC card i HAVE to have within 60 days, right? im doing the flatbed runs thats why i ask and also i just want to be clear on EVERYTHING

    I have yet to use my twic, so I don't think it is that big a deal

    They will work with you on getting the Twic. It helps to have in some situations, but lots of guys never get it and never hear about it. There is always a chance you will be told to get it and never need it.

    I asked the recruiter about passports. She said they give three months after you start, and if you want, they will help drivers get passports during school. Sounds good to me.

    I don't have mine yet but was told they can do payroll deduction for the cost.

    Yeah, but getting it I think is just a pain. I believe they will just use you without it. I had planned on getting it, but never needed it.

    In the year I've been at Roehl I've only been one place where I needed a TWIC card. Because I don't have one, company paid $25 for an escort onto the dock. It would seem like a poor investment to get a TWIC for yourself.
