Never agree on rulings like that, its like going to court. never agree, always fight it till you are out of options. Appeal it so they have to show you "why" .. Cause man that crap will haunt you later... I had a non non-preventable that they put on me when another truck bump into my side 2nd day into training and I have had to jump through hurdles to prove what it was, much less a preventable like hitting a bridge.

Wait, I thought you were delivering that bridge?
-
It is preventable, it's just stupid that they wait so long to make a ruling. Gather the facts, have an in person meeting and agree on the prevent-ability of the incident. Most of my drivers that were involved in any sort of accident quit before we decided their fate. It shouldn't be that way, a decision should be made quickly.
-
If that is the way it's suppose to be, then they failed on all aspects of this.
1. No in person meeting. Actually haven't seen my FM in.... wow, can't remember and now I have a new one again. 3rd one in 6 months.
2. Obviously my statement was me guessing at what the "issue" was that I truly am to blame for. Basically in my mind and from reading through this forumn and others, I was driving and its my fault, PERIOD. Circumstances don't matter. -
Yep you said it. it always will be unless you can prove someone else was directly involved in it.
When they listed my non preventable on my D.A.C it says non prevent but that's it, no info no detail just non preventable and the state. which makes other companies question cause for all they know i could have killed a school bus of kids. cause they list nothing and when i informed roehl over it and asked them to detail it ( like they are suppose to) then i was told, "not their problem" so now im having to fight it with hireright by appealing it. -
Sitting in the Graveyard! Wind is howling and cell coverage sucks here, just saying!
So I come out of the house today. Get a load headed to Michigan. Pick it up and let FM know that I will be able to get it to consignee by 1000 on Wednesday. It currently is scheduled for 0700 on Thursday. So going back and forth at each stop along the way, customer service has not been able to change or even set a delivery appointment. Tried to get them to relay load and all I got was sit tight until morning. So I get the fun of doing nothing until they make up their mind on the load. Only lost 90 minutes today of potential driving so I won't complain too much, but hope there is a quick decision tommorrow so I can get moving.
On a side note, saw my trainer in the fuel island. Chatted for 5 mins. Then saw one of my classmates up in the driver lounge. Strange day.childerscarl1 Thanks this. -
Well got the okay today, looks like ill be back in Gary somtime around the first week of April. Is there any new flatbed trucks there or will I luck out with a Columbia.
-
Id say its a 50/50 chance, they have a lot of new silver/gray prostars.
but most of them are in marshfield !
-
No problem, new truck is fine but used is fine too. Not to fussy they all clean up pretty well with a little elbow grease.
-
I hear ya, new trks are nice but I would rather have a columbia with the tri-pac apu. nothing worse than sitting some where and the batterys on the new trk battery powered apu goes dead. The new truck battery powered apu's are having some issues, but they are working on getting those issues solved.Young-Gun-101 Thanks this.
