do you think that you are a better trucker that other newbies because you have one year on you???
-
No, I just know that any place asking 3-12 months isn't going to be much better than a training mill. It takes 2 years experience and an age of 25 to make a driver attractive to a company worth its salt.
If you have a 26 year old driver with three years experience that'll run you $6k/year in insurance, and a 21 year old driver with 3 months experience that will run you $18k/year in insurance, which seems like the prudent business decision?
Any company that snatches up the the younger driver is going to be making up that $12k somewhere, and the first place I would check is that driver's payroll.NDBADLANDS Thanks this. -
i am 44 so in that case i am "cheap" to insurare.
And a lot of the good companies ask for 6month to a 12 and the one just under ask for 3+ so there your wrong, times change and seems like they have changed alot since you started a year ago -
who are these good companies you speak of?
-
prime,knight amongst a few

Prime and knight don't require any experience. They're both training mills just like werner, and neither pays much better.
