Above are a few, but there are many tips for excercise and diet for truckers. All you have to do is search and make the right choices.

Look Ive been out here 27 years & I dont care what anybody says...Companies trying to run 53 footers into small stores with full sleeper tractors like that is a bad idea & asking for accidents..Its even a pain in the #### with a daycab (been there done that)..Dumb idea any way you look at it you cant put a square peg into a round hole..period...

I would love that job. Besides getting home, the best part of driving a truck is backing up. And showers.

Drivers who dont care about themselves get fat, those that care about themselves and family eat healthy.

The Dollar General by my house the poor driver has to turn the wrong way onto a one way street, then wait for the light to change then back thru the intersection over a curb up a little grass hill, drop off a curb into there parking lot, and back between there building and a telephone pole with just inches of clearance on each side. When you get into final position your front bumper will be just clear of the road. Oh and you've got to do it all with the trailer doors open cause once your in position theres noroom to open them. And the intersection your backing thru is on a very busy street and the light will only stay green for about 30 sec. then you've got a bunch of pissed off poeple waiting on you to finish up. I've personally seen two drivers give up and just drive off.

I saw a sign in Kentucky today that said, "obesity is a disease". What a bunch of ########. Unless you have a disease where you cannot control weight gain through diet, and exercise, you have a choice to be fat or not.
I was in the Flying J off 81 in northern VA the other day, and a dude walks in that had to of weighed 380+. He went straight to the pizza, ordered 6 slices, and waddled back to his truck. He weighs as much as he does because he chooses to. It's a matter of time before the gov't forces unhealthy drivers out of the business. Pretty soon, drivers won't have the choice to be fat/unhealthy or not.
It didn't take long for me to start feeling the physical effects of eating in truck stops everyday. Now that I eat out of the truck 95% of the time, I feel a hell of a lot better. I have more energy, sleep better, and in the process save a lot of money.bullhaulerswife Thanks this. -
Since i have been following the "warrior diet" i have been able to keep bodyfat at bay. The idea is simple 3 light snacks during the day consisting in low fat yoghurt and fruit and a larger meal at night, it fits my routine perfectly and it works, at least for me!

Hers what im gonna do if i go back out, i got this all planned out, i plan too keep my apt, 3weeks out, one day home too pay the rent or a swing by, but too eat healthy, i came up with a plan, i saw at my other work or were i work at now, but at work we have a shrink wrapping machine, so one day i went too work , ask were my sandwich go i had in my baggee, they pulled it out and had shrink wrapped it, they were laughing so hard, very funny i told em, but really it was really fresher then my bag i had, so i went home , did a little reserch, found one those vacum sealer machine for home use, $456.89 ,at x over a year, and they had differnt models of all prices , plus the bags and acc for it, i figure over a year it would pay for it self keeping my food fresh, get some sort of meat, toss in the sealer toss in freezer, toss in my cooler in the truck, be good too go or with anything and you could also put it in the truck, becuse they said on there site, air is the number killer on all foods and i belive that.

Wait till you have driven for a few years and see if you don't put on weight!
If you think you can't or wont be told to fudge e-logs, then your wrong, you can and you will.
Eating good food and excersizing can be done, but it is tough. Do you really wanna excersize when it's -14 outside? Being a company driver, it is hard to bring good food out to eat and good, healthy food at a truck stop is hard to find.
I'm not saying it can't be done, but I never thought I'd put the weight on I have either. All I am trying to do is to wake you up to reality, especially since you haven't even driven a truck yet.

I have a APU in my truck and I bought a $59 microwave and a $75 frig/freezer. I stop at Walmart and stock up. It saves you plenty money and I'm health-conscience. I have resistance tubs in my truck, push-up bars, and plenty of water.
