I don't know if the fuel line upgrade would help with a stock engine or not .Some of my lines were getting brittle so that's what spurred me to upgrade the fuel lines.I don't think it would hurt after seeing what the fuel passes through such as the hand primer pump. But I have the fass so I really don't need the bypass pump.My next project is a transmission cooler on the return line back to the tank.

I did it when I installed a non-waste gate turbo and pdi manifold.. So I couldn't tell if that helped power. I did it for the reason that the fuel would get to the head quicker...

I realize that reversing the fuel flow will just move the hotter fuel towards number one, but with the way the CAT cooling system is that should make the actual fuel temps a little cooler at #1 (compared to the normal fuel flow and the temp at the fuels exit)...shouldn't it? Maybe I am just over thinking it.

My HP gains will probably be from the new injectors that I am looking to get from Far Call.

On a stock engine I don't think it will make a difference in Hp or fuel mileage. The only thing I do like about it is, the fuel isn't subject to high heat transfer from the stock steel #6 line that is between the cylinder head and front motor plate before the fuel enters the engine.

Did you notice they replace those 90 degree fittings with street ells.... they can flow a lot more fuel with a minimum of restriction... always a good idea.

Every time I see a fuel system plumbed with 90's I shudder... although most factory system are that way.

Back in the early 80's I was racing on the dirt with a 351-C Ford engine... we ran 100#'s of oil pressure to keep the bottom end alive... but we were blowing off the oil filter adaptor at the engine. My neighbor came over one day... he was an engineer for a major machine tool manufacturer. He explained that the 90 degree fittings we were using had a resistance factor of 1000 % over a curved, or street eel, fitting.

We changed the fittings and never had as much a a leak!

From what I gather a shimmed fuel pump and swept fittings on the suction side of the fuel pump are worth 15rwhp. That's not messing with anything on the pressure side of the pump (not worth messing with - no power gains found)
