Software can be tricky, and there is a lot of software out there. My suggestions is to find out what software your tax preparer uses and integrate-they may even set you up. As for authority, I have tried it both with my auth and leasing on. In each case it came down to the opportunity. If you can find a good. 'transparent' lease on opportunity that will meet your target numbers that can be hard to beat. With my auth. it involved a bit more work, but if paired with a good broker can be more profitable. I think the trick with your own auth. is to be focused on your lanes and find the best broker for those lanes. Over time it appeared as though the give and take relationship gave me more flexibility and ultimately better rates. Once leased on you are in there domain thus make sure it is a good fit.

How can one keep business and personal accounts seperate? Don't we have the business account so we can make money and pay our bills and have money to spend? Or do we take $ out of the business account write ourselves a check and put it into our personal account?

I have always written myself a paycheck.

I had one account for business use only. Second one was for household.

Keep your current personal account for your personal finances. Open a new business account for your business finances. Pay yourself from your business account.

I personally look at my finances, paid myself enough to cover the bills + $500 each month.

To keep it easy, I paid once a month. Less times to figure out the taxes.

Any other way of paying oneself without writing a check? I'm a bit too young for such archaic technology.

Can i just send myself a wire transfer from my business to personal account? That's how I've always moved money since I was 14 years old. Just wondering whether or not that'll suffice for tax purposes.

You can do it any way that you want. Just so long as you show how you are doing it.
