    I am considering buying a 2007 International 9400I Eagle 489,000 mi.,ISX 565 HP,13 spd,3:55 rears on 22.5 rubber.I will be pulling flat bed 48 states. What kind of mileage can I expect running @ 65 mph?:biggrin_2552:

    There's more to it, as you should know, in regards to MPG. Do you idle all night ? Heavy VS light payload. Cruise control ? Ascend a lot of mountains ? Headwinds ?Just guessing, I'd say 5.5-6.5......

    1-2million if you're lucky. do you plan on making money? Double it by folding it and putting it back in your pocket and find agood job with the RR that pays 36000/year

    Really. Get a truck geared at 75 and you can run it out west and make some money. I had a Peterbilt 379. It ran 91 MPH, pulled a covered wagon and hauled aluminum.

    Have a couple 9400's MPG varies on all factors , load ( low , Bulky ) , weight ( Light , Heavy ) , location ( Out West or Eastern seaboard , average 6.8 over the year

    Is a covered wagon those flat bed trailers with the "tarps" that you just slide back and forth over the payload? I see lots of Pete's and kw's with them. They look really cool, 45-48' spread axle, and short as the tractor most of the time.

    That's a conestoga kit... covered wagons are the typical steel hauler set-up where you roll the tarp over to one side and swing the top bows out of the way to load...
