Upgrade question: Flatbed

    Well, looks like truck selection tomorrow.

    Most likely I may end up with something 2012 (Preferably a Cascadia). My question is simply this: Since you have significantly less space for boxes on the outside for storing straps and edge protection, is everything just going up in your headache racks and the under bunk compartment?

    Sorry, just got a bit spoiled having a nice, big exterior box.

    I fit everything in the racks, except the straps which I stored in the little box on the side along with my tire chains.

    LOL Thanks, man :) It's been a long road but we're finally done. Just a few more lease classes and we're off.

    I may just end up using the small box for straps. Just hate the idea of having to get into that headache rack more often than I'm used to.

    That's the nice thing about putting the straps under the truck. I rarely get into the big racks above. Just to get my bar and bungies out.

    If you have the 2 door headache rack, you should manage good. Congrats and let us know what ya get!

    with the added small box on the newer truck you should be good on space ive meet a few guys that manage well with the space

    congrats on the upgrade

    Are the trailers going to have side boxes? I kept alot in those, well not alot, overflow. Just need to remember to pull it out if swaping trailers!

    I doubt theyll have sideboxes on them.

    a far as what the maint manager said about the new trailers no side boxes but i wouldnt want them yes more storage but more moving from trailer to trailer w/the d/h we do
