still rolling, situation normal...........

I made it home about 3 weeks ago didn't have alot of time for the internet my 'lawn' had grown to about 3' tall. I was home for three days and then headed back out, I had a very busy three days suppling my 'new' truck. but I pulled it all together and headed out from sept 6 thru oct 1. I won't bore you with alot of details about stuff you've all seen dozens of times more then me. I did have something interesting happen today, my cell went off it was one of the support people at Eagle. the first thing she did was wish me a happy birthday, then she told me I ran more miles then any other eagle solo driver. they gave me a $100 bonus.

september was my first full month with this company. I told them I was pretty dedicated to going down the road and to expect more of the same.

they said I ran 12,557 miles. that's not that much is it?

 

the other shoe fell this month (october) the routing was in the east/northeast. the trips were shorter, most were ok but there was this one. I was running around the streets of holyoke/chickopee, burbs of springfield mass, I had a three pick up load. what a nightmare, by the second stop I wanted to throw my keys in the canal and find a pub. the third stop had no directions to get to it, qualcom said 'contact dispatch for directions' I called and of course he wouldn't answer....... lucky for me a UPS guy was delivering and he explained how to get there.

the next morning I was trying to route myself down from the jersey turnpike to north bergen, I almost got a ticket being on a restricted road.
why I don't like the northeast? they don't mark anything your on county highway 57 south you come to a "T" intersection and there is no indication of which way to go! you have to guess. the traffic is insanely heavy, and the driver are just plain old insane. the surface streets were designed for horse and buggy not a semi. do I need to go on?

I got my board amended to say "no northeast dispatch"
now all I have to do is take my home time out west
