I think it's parked next to me at the moment. At least I think it's a Volvo...the duct tape might be throwing me off...:biggrin_2559:

    FLATBED and SHC Thank this.

I am at 1.3M miles on my 2000 770 on its secound engine rebuild 20k ago. I have acualy been considering taking it up to 2 million miles, granted the shop I usualy go to has threatend if I do they will stop servicing it. End of the year I plan on having the side fairings replaced and the whole thing painted again.

If they were serious, why would they stop servicing it? Or were they just joking?

That doesn't make sense to me. Run the wheels off it. Just find another shop to do the work

    DrtyDiesel Thanks this.

You must have met my fiancé LOL...

I'm burning up, she's freezing. I'm freezing, she is complaining it is too hot.

I'm glad she stays at home while I'm on the road ;)

If it has a seacan hooked to it and a flying chicken stuck to the side of it, then it's probably a Volvo :biggrin_2559:

2 rebuilds and its only at 1.3M? Christ my work would send a truck back out with a connecting rod hanging out the block if they had to do an inframe before a million.:biggrin_2556:

When I was at Pepsi my GMC TopKick with its Crapterpillar 3126 had to be rebuilt twice. Then again my daily 220 mile round trip highway run cruising at 64mph bumping the 2600 rpm governor didn't help.

Just out of curiosity, how many of you are running the older APU's.....say four or five year old models?

I had a 3126's in a TopKick Rollback also, did not have good luck with it one bit. First one broke a crank, was covered under warranty. Second one blew a head gasket then three months later ate a turbo, final straw was when the block cracked on the second one. Also went through 2 transmissions. (Allison HD my ###.) All with less than 150,000. Not quite a heavy duty truck and sure as heck not run under any kind of good conditions.
