hoping to get an answer from one of the longtime vets, or just anyone that knows...

Needing to get from Albuquerque, NM to St. George, UT... I'm wondering if its better to take US550 off of I25 and then continue on to US160 to cross navajo nation, or if it would be better to Take AZ264 out of Gallup, NM area and hit up with US160 near Tuba City, AZ

Mileage seems pretty similar, so I'm wondering if any of you guys that know these routes better than I do might share tips on the best way to go.. as far as weather, places to stop etc... I've taken US550 out of Albuquerque before but went on up towards Cortez, Co so I've never taken any of these routes in arizona...

Any tips on making this trip would be appreciated, I've been to St George many times but have always been coming NB or SB on I-15 etc... With the bad weather expected tonight I'm wanting to be extra careful that I don't make a mistake and choose a route that would be tougher than it needs to be etc.. thanks

Hit 160 it will seem longer but much easier on you AND your rig you can still hit the 15-N i do believe it will be exit six if memory serves correct just make sure to have full tanks not too many scales out there the loves in las vegas will be your last chance of the big five and its at exit 74 as you are comin out of LV......
