I think something that would be nice for a company to give out to a new hire, would be the little truckstop guide that I just updated, because mine was three yrs old.Its cheap 4.25$ and I use it constantly. If a company gave me one of those when I started working for them I would say "WOW"

truck wouldn't idle due to my engine catching on fire.It was cold ### **** that day and it took 12 hours for a wrecker to get to me. Sleeping bag saved me big time. Your company may pay for a hotel but what are you going to do while waiting.Breakdowns can happen anytime. Great list by the way

Life saver in the winter months ( I know we are heading into summer ) Space blanket and some candles. I have been stuck in the truck with no heat out in the boonies and the candles and the blanket saved my ###!

Candles....is there a particular way they should be burned that will produce more heat? Someone said in a coffee can...is that because it will radiate the heat? Or was that just because it was safer?

Pillar candles work well, a coffee can works great or anything flat to set it on really . Its not so much to radiate more heat, although it may put out more heat. Safety is a huge issue!!! Be careful to keep them away from everything and someplace where it will not be knocked over!
A single candle will put off more heat than you might think! Enough heat to save you from freezing to death in sub zero weather.
