You can't haul down there the insurance companies frown on it and won't cover you. You can go to the border towns and transfer it or buy a Mexican truck company and transfer it to your truck that way but its a dangerous business.

Hey, whatever works. He knows where to go and where not to plus he knows the language. I think the biggest problem with drivers going to mexico is that they have no idea how to drive there and don't know the language.

Sorry for my bad spanish..... why I was writing that, I thought to look in my Motor Carrier's Atlas..... en pagina A9 dice que, en ingles, "A permit is required to operate an American-owned trailer more than 20kms or 12+ miles from the border. Permits are issued by the Secretary of the Economy and require the carrier to post a bond. Permit's are good for 30 days, during which time only one entrance and one exit is allowed. A new bond is required for a seperate trailer. Bond fees are non refundable.
I found this in the Rand Macnally Motor Carriers Road atlas, 2007 edition pagina A9

I hope this helps.
I would like to visit both Mexico and Canada in a truck. But first I need to get back behind the wheel. I am going to get my filipina girlfriend over here eventually, so I don't know how hard that would make it for me to do any border crossing.
You may or may not need a Fast card? I don't know.
!Mucho suerte amigo!

When i was in road master i heard stories about delivering or accedently rolling into or over the mexican boarder. The quote was "Don't count on your tractor trailer coming back in one piece if at all". And then they would let out a loud laugh.

!!!!!!!!! Translation-----------------You know the biggest problem that Americans have with Mexican labor? Do you understand that is not racism? I have contacted my representatives on numerous occasions because I don't want Mexican nationals working here because they cheapen our labor market! Why would any business pay a living wage to an American while they can exploit people who are whiling to live ten families to a single family dwelling, and will work for less than a third of what we demand as fair! If you guys demanded the same compensation as us it would not be a problem, but currently our business owners are exploiting you to save money. I hope that you guys realize it is not a racial issue, My stepmother was born Mexican and is currently a U.S. citizen and I love her dearly, but she came he legally! I am and will continue to lobby to close the border from Mexican trucks unless they impose a stiff fuel tax that requires you guys to charge the same as U.S. trucks in order to keep you guys from taking all of our work at a cut rate! If you didn't know the truckers in this country are already giving up their trucks because the can hardly make a living after they pay all of their expenses! Go home before we send you there! Oh yeh it is also unlawful to maintain dual citizenship, and I hope the DOT finds out and reports you to ICE!!!!!!!!!!
