But the way cobra was coming across, PowerFuels, the old man of the ND field, was the only one that's not a "fly by night" so I just wanted to point out some other perspectives.

There are several companies in ND that are new to the oil field, but have well-established parent companies. There might be some growing pains as they adjust to the new industry, but ultimately if the parent company is fairly honest and ethical the daughter company probably will be too. And, generally speaking, any outfit that HAS a parent company probably isn't going to be "fly-by-night" for the simple fact that they have an established reputation to protect. But of course, only time will tell...

Someone from walmart told me off the record it was because people that park over night would dump trash in the lot. Those folks that can't find a trash can ruined it for everyone.

 

You have to have your steel toed boots cuz the 4th day of classroom training you go out into the yard and do various things. Learn how to measure the wells, chain tires and some shop time with the mechanic. They issue you a pair of fr coveralls free of charge but its only one pair.
They also said in the paperwork that was given to me that we needed to come with certain tools (that i needed to buy) with a toolbag but it wasn't necessary... we didnt use them. I could have waited.

The best place to get steel toed boots and fr clothes is Home of Ecomony. I got a pair of muck boots there today and they have the best selection of boots and fr clothes in town. Walmart has steel toed boots and coveralls too but they are more cheaply made. You can get tools and your gloves at Home of Economy too.

I decided i needed a strap to go on my hardhat so the wind doesn't blow it off my head, the thing won't stay on cuz of my hair so i wanted a chin strap. Also i decided i needed an led clip light to clip onto my hardhat so i don't fall on my #$$ in the dark. Oiling Safety has those two things. I drove all around today looking for it just so i could get them. They don't have hardly anything in there, not much for clothes or boots but they had those two very important things (well least as far as im concerned). I went to the one in willistion... down from walmart down some dirt road.
