Great jobs in Texas

If you want to tank oil I see Dillion, Gold Spur, Martin, Schneider, and a couple smaller guys all running oil tankers around the Victoria, TX area like crazy. Get down here and get yourself a job! If you have 6 months to 1 year driving experience you pretty much can pick who you work for.

We found a house today which will accept our dogs. It isn't like Williston ND down here but I was told a big Caterpillar plant is coming which will create 700 new jobs and they will put even more pressure on housing. Apartments are going for $500-$800 houses seem to be $1000 or more per month now. Can't wait to see how this all plays out!

 

Thanks for the info. I am going to find a company that I can stay out in the truck for 5-6 days. Am paying on one home already, Just have to find a place that can deal with a 6 year gap in driving. Glad you found a place, I was looking 4 years ago at Victoria as I was going to attend school there. There was all kinds of talk about a Nuke power plant going in there and home and rent prices would skyrocket. Were you in Williston? I have talked to a few folks up there, not bad if you can get put up in a camp. Been up 2 days straight so off to hit the rack. Thanks again for the info and good luck with the new job.

 

Working in the marcellus right now in pa as a field hand. Have a CDL with all the endorsements and looking for a sand hauling job. Dont have the experience (in employers eyes) to haul crude I think to get a job I am def confinent enough. Been driving for about 2 years now hauled doubles and last I was hauling oversized loads. Looking for a company that runs sleepers so until I find a place I can just sleep in the truck. Going down there to make money not enjoy myself. I looked on Gold Spur website but cant figure out where the apply button is. lol

Any of you had any experience with TRICAN?? Ran into one of their supers today. Said they were hiring. Was not really looking but he made it sound real good. Anyone got the real scoop on them. This would be out of Springtown 30 miles NW of FTW. Thaks!

 

Canadian company I believe?? They have a large yard on I-20 EB between Midland/Odessa. All brand new equipment. Nicest trucks in West Texas.

Same here. Lots of new t-800s. Just wondered if anyone had worked for them. Seemed like nice guy. Hourly pay wasn't great , but he says they pay all hours working or not . About 80=100 week. That would make it OK.

 

What is the truck to be used for? Check out Penske and Ryder, they both rent all sizes of trucks.
