Peterbilt 579 vs KW 680

Two new trucks from Paccar, I think the new Pete 579 is to replace 386 (and not 389) and the other is new generation of "anteater" T-660. Interesting how both are getting similar to "wide cabs": Peterbilt 587 and KW T700, it will be interesting to see pricing because I don't really see much of a difference now - its mostly in the sleepers?

 

It is confusing... 387=587 has nothing to do with this new, blue 579 above. Two different product lines. It's going to replace 386 when true classic 389 will be probably slowly fading away...

On the KW side, interestingly it looks like T660 replacement (yellow T680 above) will drop Studio-Sleepers... I think one of major selling points. Not sure what is the deal with this model but... I think it is actually tricky way to introduce new "900"

If thats correct, we can say one thing - Peterbilt is keepig it's old appearance (at least some cues) when KW... is dropping it. That's why Pete is and always was the king

 

I noticed that as well, it is disgusting sign of times... When you think of 579 as a 379 descendant... with 3 piece bumper...

 

They just don't want to provide free advertising for Cummins, I'm sure 70% of whole production will have red power instead of MX - they just want to push this Euro-POS as thats where their money is
