i wonder what the hourly and trips pay down in SC? possibly not as much as in the northern/western areas.
-
It can vary depending on location and how many stores you service. Based on conversations with other Gemini drivers in other locations, it seems to be near the same as here. I can't speak for Flying J/Pilot but I would imagine their hourly is the same company wide.
-
I haul fuel in Knoxville Tn and pilot as alot of trucks here since they are based out of Knoxville. From talking to there drivers starting pay is around $16 a hour starting out and time and a half after 40 hours. They had been talking about switching to a load based pay but have not done it as of yet.
-
I'm surprised that the Pilot drivers are only making 16.00 and hour there. It makes me wonder if Flying J and Pilot pay differently. I would like to hear from a Flying J driver on the forums and hear what they think about their side of things. I know the Flying J drivers here are happy with their jobs and make more than 16.00 and hour. Who do you haul fuel for Spanky and is fuel hauling pay where you are equivalent to other places in the country?

Its alright, fairly consistent work. Some weeks I'm grossing 12-1300, some weeks 700.
I run donner every night and I'm starting to hate it.
Ive sat two nights this week. I cant do anything else but sleep and go to work. And if i dont work, the day is wasted as i slept most of it. Just sick of the ups and downs sometimes. Its an ok place to work, I love what I do. -
I know what you mean. I worked for con-way freight for about two years and ive been working at fedex freight for 2 years now and it wears on you after a while. That dockwork starts to get to you after a while + its always a surprise whether ur gonna get to work tonite or theyre gonna send you back home after you slept all day. Thats why im looking at gettin out of freight and into something new.
CenutryClass Thanks this. -
