I start training in Cartersville on 4/30 and just about have all my ducks in a row. I'm looking for suggestions on what to do with my mail while I'm gone. I live alone in an apartment, so the mailbox will fill up quick with all the junk. My kids are not close enough to come get it, and I don't know the neighbors well enough to have them hold it. Anyone in a similar situation have any suggestions? Thinking about just stopping mail delivery and picking it up at the post office each time when I get home.

I believe the post office will put a hold on your mail and not deliver again until you tell them to.....call your local post office and ask

Swervy is correct you just go to your post office and hold your mail. You may be able to do it online now too.

I always kept a PO Box #. It works fine. Get the medium size box if you are going to stay out more than 3 weeks at a time. The small one is sufficient if for less than 3 weeks.

I have a PO box that rents for $50 every 6 months. I have a friend go check it once a week when I'm on the road.
