So for the sake of argument, would you have stopped him if he dropped his trailer on your lot and headed off to get dinner and some rest?
Just some of the stupid things I see

Just wondering. I plan on doing what I've been doing all along. Keep the weights right, and hope schneider keeps paying the ezpass/prepass bill!! Love it when I get that little beep beep beep and green light!! -
Incidental communications so to speak. You are allowed to be bothered by the DOT on your break and the same with your company. -
The personal conveyance rules really need to be redone. Laden and unladen needs to be specifically defined. Going to a restaurant needs to be set as an example, not as the rule itself because there's no way they meant it that way.
As it is now, if I go to a restaurant, I'm off duty. But if I go from that restaurant to a bowling alley to bowl a few frames, then I'm somehow on duty? That makes no sense and it really needs to be gone over and rewritten. -

Who knows anymore. -
I can do as many inspections as I want and put as many people out of service as can fit in my lot. -
There actually _IS_ a quota in my home state of NC, but it's not what you think. The motor carrier enforcement division of the NCSHP has to perform a minimum number of Level x inspections annually in order to retain their federal funding. There is NOT a quota set for the number of violations, however.
