You mean a mic to go with the radio you're not allowed to talk on? (sorry, couldn't resist)
The Astatic 636 is a noise cancelling mic and good for noisy environments (diesel trucks). You'll need to speak directly and close to the mic, that's how they work.Bighig Thanks this. -
yes sir i dont talk on it i just want to know it will work if im ever on the side of the road broke down looking for a place to eat....or if i get lucly enough to find a new job. that allows cb talk.

what C J said is true, however if you don't have the tools. a 636l can be had for 25 bucks on line or at a shop. or maybe you got some frequent fueler points...
Bighig Thanks this. -
I understand that but the guy at the cb shop said that the k40 was junk and not worth fixing .He did not want to fix it .

The 636l comes in camoflage so the company can't see you using it while driving in the forest.... problem solved
Bighig Thanks this. -

The standard mic that comes with the cobra radios are cheap and last a long time. Try ebay, or one of the cb internet stores.

If I was using the radio in a truck, I would have the Astatic noise cancelling mic or the Road King mic.....I have several of both. I wouldn't spend any money to fix any other common CB mic either.
Bighig Thanks this. -
Some mikes you CAN'T buy ..... Some cords are a nightmare to replace ........ if you have to rebuild them.
I have 2 alincos 2 yeasus and at least 3 other radios that you can't buy mikes ....... uness you like spending $90 each on them ......
CB mikes are under $50 even for a good one....Bighig Thanks this.
