Once or twice in my life I lost my wallet with drivers license, credit cards, etc. in it. [IMG] I am wondering what kind of #### this would put an OTR driver through?

Where do drivers keep the essential driver documents such as CDL, Medical card, TWIC and others required to perform the job so you won't lose these valuable items? If you did lose one or all of them, would having a notorized copy in the truck give "Mr. LAW" some incentive not to burn you as bad as he could? (I know this one is reachin, but just looking for opinions)

    Thanks.

I always just keep that stuff in my wallet. I wear one of those credit card size front pocket wallets with a money clip on the backside. It's small enough to be comfortable in my pocket while sitting and it's ALWAYS on me. I wear a chain wallet that goes in my back pocket the rest of the time.

When I was OTR I kept a ID badge holder with a lanyard tied around my neck. In the badge holder I had all of my essentials, to include my debit and credit cards.

DL, medical card and company fuel cards stay in my wallet. My TWIC card and medical long form stay in a locked brief case behind my right seat. I keep my check book and emergency cash as well as unused log books and trip cards for transflo scanning in it. I also keep a copy of the FMCSA regs in it. If I were to happen to lose my wallet I can get replacment fuel cards overnighted to me and my medical long form should suffice for my medical the only problem I would be left with at this point is no DL. Then hopefully I won't be out very much longer till I can get home to get a replacement. Good chance company will send me home on the grey dog.:biggrin_25513:

I keep my wallet hidden in the truck. A locked briefcase isn't going to stop someone from just grabbing the whole thing.

Front pocket is the only way to go IMHO.

I use the same type wallet, credit card holder type. Although it doesn't have a money clip.

I've lost TOO many wallets from my back pockets.

Thanks for the help everyone. :Compass:

I like the front pocket, small wallet plan for gas cards, cash, etc... I think I'll stash the DL, Medcard, and other essentials somewhere on the truck where I can access it as needed. My luck is, if it leaves the truck I eventulally leave it behind or I lose it.
