It all depends. Some people learn faster on their own than with a trainer.

I'm a recent graduate from a truck driving school in Southern California. I'm looking into Schneider and I was wondering if I do not pass the road test during orientation, will they kick me to the curb or will they work with me?
-
Most companies will work with you. They already invested in you by bringing you into orientation, so unless you did something incredibly stupid you should be alright.noexmarines Thanks this.

Do all trucking companies require road tests for recent graduates?
-
It depends more on how long you haven't been driving more than your experience level. You can be a 30 year veteran, but if you go 6 months inbetween jobs you still need a road evaluation.noexmarines Thanks this.

I've graduated from about a month ago from a Accredited trucking school in Southern California.

I've had my CDL for about a month now and that's a month of not driving a rig. I've applied to a few different trucking companies in Fontana, CA and I have been pre approved. I'm sure that I will need to take a road test for their orientation and i'm afraid i'm a bit rusty. Will they dismiss me if I fail their road test?
