Bor, np! That is EXACTLY what we are here for. We don't try to stop people from getting into trucking like we have been accused of, but rather try and speak the truth so people won't go into trucking blind and get tore to pieces by a company like JB Hunt, SWIFT, CR England and the like. Do it right and you will live a better life.

Woot! -
Thanks Guys.
I am in Contact with PRIME they have Approved me to come to Orientation.
I may go early next year!! -
Watch out if Springfield MO gets another Ice storm this year like they did last year. I think Prime was the only place in all of Springfield aside from Hospitals that had power because of the generators they have.
Lowell actually got it fairly well last year too. The office didn't lose power because of the generators, but the roads were good and slick. -
My parents live outside McAlester, OK, and that was one BAD ice storm! Something to never be forgotten.
-
At the time, I was living in Seligman MO, on the AR/MO State line. That was the last point of good electricity. Everywhere north of there lost power for 1 day or more. Springfield was down for a week, Monett was down for a week and a half, Joplin got hammered too.

I only know that a few members here are with them, and are doing great.(so far)
My wife and I are much like Steve & Lo, as in we want to team drive eventually.
And we have been following Steve and Lo in their Prime thread.
They are just about to the point of Driving as a Team.
This is not something that I am jumping into soon, I will keep digging for info, But I will also continue following The Steve & Lo adventures too!!
LOL
I appreciate any and all good information, so that My Wife and I eventually make our dream come true.!
Thanks. -
I worked for JB Hunt for 4 yrs. The main Problem I had with them, was they screwed you out of miles on evry trip. Thats why I quit them. It got so out of control that I was making less money than I did when I first started working for them.

Companies love Rand McNally and those guys who write the mileage-calculator computer programs. Scientists don't know it, but the world is getting smaller each year, at least if those calculators are to be believed. Los Angeles and San Francisco are getting one inch closer each year geologically, but in the trucking world they are getting closer by a few MILES each year.
I've gone on straight-shot trips that were less than 500 miles and STILL got ripped on some of those miles. I took runs for SwiftQuit and got ripped on 1/3 of the miles I drove. If I drove 300, I got paid for 200, and then taxes were taken out of that figure on top of it. This is the big reason I quit those jokers after only about 4 months.
SwiftQuit did it, but Crete did it, too. I got paid about 92 miles for every 100 I drove while at CCC. I hear they don't use Randy miles anymore, which is good. They pay practical miles at Crete now.
But SwiftQuit still pays Randy miles, I'm sure.
