We are talking about taking a load to California so we can also take a short vacation. I know they are picky on the engines for smog. We have a 2003 379 Pete that came with an MBN motor but last december it blew up so we bought a new 2002 6NZ and had it installed, they sent us a sticker for the front valve cover that says the timing, etc..will we get hassled running this truck to California and if so, for what? Any knowledge shared is well appreciated. Thank you for your help in advance.

Also they have a law or something about certain trucks have to have the side skirts or some other systems..Is this true?
-
They have enough stupid laws out there I won't go back.
6NZ is still legal there, I have a buddy that runs a load out there occasionally and he has one. -
you'll be fine. they haven't started enforcing anything yet, tons and tons of mechanical engines still running around.
-
You are fine...all the things you head about CARB are not in enforcement mode yet...nor have they said how they will enforce it.
On the trailers...53' Box Van trailers model year 2010 or newer have to have skirts...all others are good to roll...for now anyway! -
