Trolling for referral bonuses here on TTR is not allowed.
To the guy who openly posted here in the Prime section, the mods caught it and deleted... To the same guy who is sending Private Messages to the newbs offering to split the bonus, I'm on to you and not sure what the policy around here is for that.
To you Newbs... Good luck to you if you participate in a scam. First it's dishonest against Prime... Your future employer. Maybe you won't get caught and lose your job. Says alot about your character that you can be bought.
Two, good luck complaining to Prime if the guy doesn't give you your cut. You gonna complain to Prime how you helped another person perpetrate a fraud on Prime for bonus money?
Third, it's a crappy split as the referral nets money for every mile you run at Prime. The guy collecting the bonus is making WAY more off you than that measly split.
Anyone around here offering advice in an open forum and solicitating bonus splits in private should be suspect. It taints anything positive that person says about Prime... Everything that person says is suspect and may just be a ploy to get you in the door and cash in the guys pocket.

BTW, to prevent drivers from "cherry picking" newbs fresh off the bus, Prime requires the referral drivers name and truck number on both the online application and the official filed application the newb fills out the day of arrival at Prime.
Since most guys post around here after they apply online, good luck fishing... You're really gonna have to be sneaky and an "early bird" to get the worm.silenteagle Thanks this. -
Funny, I was thinking about this today. While it's not fair to Prime for someone to claim a referral when they didn't actually introduce the new hire to Prime, I do think that it's more than fair that some of the regular posters be rewarded with referral bonuses for those who make the Prime decision with the help of this forum. The wealth of 'inside' information posted here is more persuasive than 10 recruiters could ever be.
silenteagle Thanks this. -
I have given this much thought, and would agree with U2 and Windsmith. If people come to prime because of this, and they contact a member and work with them to come to prime, no harm no foul. Trolling is definitely OFF LIMITS.

I'd just as soon keep everything above board and simply accept a thanks than to have the integrity of my posts questioned.
IP can remember the days where we were constantly attacked as recruiters, even suggestions that we weren't even drivers but payed shills who sit behind a desk.
Can you imagine getting a bonus from a guy on here and then he either has a horrible experiance or Prime doesn't live up to his expectations based on information you provided... It puts a fat target on your back for him to complain here in the forum and question your motivation for helping him. You may not of asked for the bonus he offered, but you certainly took it. -
BTW, I'm paranoid... After all the attacks, and time spent defending our Company and my experiances, I refuse any such private message offers.
I have had a few.
It always feels like a setup. I half expect the first time I say yes is the time someone will post a "gotcha" post in the forum. -
If there is not any corporate red tape on exclusions to the referral program than it should not matter... Is there a no soliciting kick-out clause ?
I figured after being swayed to the company by alot of input by "the regulars" I could just give a recruiter the trucker report handle and they would research it and credit that employee...
Didnt realize there was an issue !?

U2, I don't see how you can be criticized. The information that you provide is based on your own experiences and I'm sure it can be verified. People need to realize that just because something is working for YOU doesn't mean that it's definitely going to work for THEM.
And I see your point. If you 'refer' someone, you're essentially vouching for their suitability as a driver and employee. -
Please keep doing what you do, Eventually I will get a chance to meet you and IP at the terminal, There are way many more folks who appreciate the advice given in this forum by you and others and the rest can , Well, you know

U2 is right... in the past there were people on the board gunning for both of us.
