We have two trucks at our cheyenne location. One pulls a single trailer and one pulls doubles. We are always pulling Max weight or as close as we can to Max. The doubles is about 11500 gallons of diesel which is around 110,000 pounds give or take depending on the temperature of the fuel. If pulling out of Colorado we are only allowed to carry a Max of 10,000 gallons of fuel and usually pull 9900 from there. :)

Awesome. The tanker company I drive for we can haul 8500 gallons of regular (gas) and 7500 gallons of diesel. It must be nice to have only 3 compartments. We have 5 on our trailers. Those 5 come in handy though when you got four different products. I have seen other that haul 8800 gallons total and Pilot here hauls 9000 gallons of gas.

I don't know if the weight aspect is what stops us from hauling more because we used(?) to do the Petro on I-70 at exit 6 in Pa and we would have to scale in and out and the guy at the counter said the weight was around 82,000 pounds.

Three compartments is nice. We only haul to the Love's stores and therefore we only run diesel, unleaded and premium in this area. I load 7500 diesel and usually either 8400 or 8500 gas. We always pull legal and never over 80k. We jump into Colorado all the time so have to run the Colorado and Wyoming ports.

I work for eagle transport only been doing it for about six months now. I average around 200 to 230 a night. We get paid extra for night shift and weekends and that helps my pay quite a bit. I usually average 6 local loads and 3 to 4 will be split between 2 stores. I normally work 11 to 12 a hours a night.

    AtlantaTrucker and Jynxx Thank this.

Are you servicing convenience stores working for Eagle Transport? What do you think about hauling fuel?

Yea mainly convenience stores and a few walmarts we do along with one truck stop we do. Didn't care for it much at first but after a while I got use to it and wouldn't go back on the road now unless i just had to.

I hear you there. My hat goes off to those of you who run the convenience stores. We have it lucky in that most of our loads are diesel and we have hose trees we hook up to when we drop. No pulling the hoses off the truck for diesel drops. Gas drops are a different story but probably only account for about 15% of my loads. It does take some getting used to but I must say that I am very happy with the company and what we do out here. No going back to OTR or an office for me! LOL

Dang man... reading through this thread and seeing some of the other things you and Hanz have said.. almost makes me want to take a shot at Gemini when I'm done in a couple weeks! Are they needing any more drivers here?

Are you using a cell phone camera while under the loading rack?
